5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!! October 27, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition

A murder… a little mystery… a little romancing… a lot of searching… I LOVED IT!!
This book worked my brain in ways that hasn’t happened in a very long time, and I loved it. Just the right amount of tension between the two leading characters with a group of secondary characters who are strong in their own right. This gives the story so much depth that I fell for the entire group. Love the sarcasm and posturing between the male characters, with the whip of the womens verbal slaps making a very real storyline.

I adore Katie Walsh. A super strong, independant woman making a name for herself in a mans world, she is a force to watch out for. She has her faults right along with very valid reasons for them.
Alec is out to find justice, and needs Katie in order to succeed in his quest. He has some faults as well, though again, I can’t hold them against him for long.

This book is one of those rare treasures you find that will work your brain as well as your heart, and keep you wanting more. So happy to know this is the first in the series and I will get another fix of Alec and Katie again soon!
A keeper that will be read many times! 5 stars!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A bit mystery and romance May 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I really enjoyed reading this book, because I, as lover of mystery, mythology and intrigue, found my fill here. It did not hurt with some romance either. Although I had my suspicion about the murder very early, it was still nicely solved. I am looking forward to continuation. Did her grandfather really killed his daughter on purpose? And will there be a HEA for Katie and Alec at the end?
5.0 out of 5 stars An exceptional start to an incredibly hot series! December 6, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
A book I’ve fallen totally in love with, it’s kept me on the edge of my bed at night, chewing my fingers and giggling like a school girl. “Katie” is a character we all see a wee bit of ourselves in, the modern day woman who has been through a lot of ups and downs but is the better for it. When Katie meets back up with Alec after five years she’s in for a HUGE surprise, a surprise that leads her in a whirlwind of emotions, can they put their past behind them and work together to solve a mystery and a crime? I can NOT wait for the next “Katie” mystery, this series is truly exceptional in character detail, whodunnits and romance, what more could you want this holiday season?

Great story and pacing. Liked the plot twists. And I learned something about Celtics. An overall winner – and a keeper. Looking forward to reading Vol 2.

I read a LOT. And this was one of the best books I’ve read all year. It had just the right mixture of romance and intrigue. I do enjoy books that deal with archaeology and artifacts, so I also loved that aspect of the book. I won’t do a detailed description of the book because that’s what blurbs are for, but I’ll just say that I couldn’t put this down, and I can’t WAIT for the sequel. Great work, KJ Montgomery!

Wow! I was intrigued by the title and I’m so glad I followed my instincts. The mystery/ story-line is different and well developed. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. The romance between Kate and Alec blends perfect with the challenges they face in their search for answers to prove the existence of a long ago civilization. Looking forward to Book 2, Harbinger. Kudos K J Montgomery!

InD’tale Magazine – 4 star review for Trove!

InD’tale Magazine has given “Trove  (The Katie Walsh Mysteries) a 4 star review.

Sandy Ponton from InD’tale says:

Trove” is a tempting beginning to a promising series.

The steamy love story is cleverly threaded through a secondary tale of lies and intrigue and keeps the pages turning effortlessly. . .
